Associate Attorney

Mat Johnson was born in the Willamette valley in Oregon but raised in Alaska. Mat was raised hunting, fishing, and recreating all over the Alaskan wilderness. Mat’s family built an off-the-grid cabin and spent much of their time out at the cabin. Mat married his wife, Tashah, in 2015.

Mat Graduated with a BA in History from University of Alaska Anchorage in 2020. He then traveled to Rhode Island for his first year of law school before heading west where he obtained his Juris Doctorate from Willamette University College of Law in 2024. During his time at Willamette, Mat spent a considerable amount of time exploring the PNW and fell in love with central and eastern Washington.

During the summer breaks from law school, Mat clerked for Johnson Law, P.C. in Anchorage, Alaska. During his final semester of law school, Mat was offered the opportunity to serve as student clerk for an Anchorage Federal District Court judge. His experience clerking for Johnson Law, P.C. provided Mat with great real-world legal experience. His time with the District Court helped him gain a better understanding of the court system. He brings these skills and more to the table in joining our team.

Mat enjoys following most sports but mostly football and Gonzaga Basketball, working on his family’s eastern Oregon cattle ranch, and recreating with his wife.
